Requirements
Hardware Requirements
GESOP and ASTOS require a graphics workstation or a PC with at least 768MB RAM, a reasonable amount of free disk space (around 400 MBytes), and a high resolution color graphics display.
Software Requirements
ASTOS/GESOP requires a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) running under Windows XP/Vista or Linux with an X Window System. A JRE will be delivered with our software.
GESOP
The user may write its part of the models either in Fortran 77 or in Ada 95 as well as in C or Matlab. A Simulink interface can be used together with the Real Time Workshop. The appropriate compiler is not part of the delivery of GESOP. Please note that the compiler must be capable to build dynamic link libraries (on Windows systems known as DLLs).
ASTOS
If installed as pure object code a compiler is not needed. If you want to use the dynamic link library interface to write your own models a compiler as required for GESOP is needed.
Supporting Third Party Software
Third party software are the nonlinear programming solvers SNOPT and SLLSQP and the sparse optimizer SOCS. Runtime licenses for these packages can be purchased together with a license for the ASTOS/GESOP system itself. If you have already a valid SNOPT license you can use this one. SOCS is licensed by The Boeing Company and can also be purchased as stand alone software.
Standard Installation Plattforms
At present installations are only supported on:
- Windows XP/Vista
The following platforms has been tested, but installation is not supported within the standard contract of sale:
- PC running under LINUX 2.x,
- Apple Mac (Intel) running MAC OSX
Installation of the software to other platforms than the standard plattforms is possible but must be discussed on an individual basis. These platforms must have support of Java, GNAT Ada and Fortran 77 compiler as well as gmake.
FLEXnet License Servers
Our software is powered by the licensing software Acresso FLEXnet Publisher by which means we can offer floating licenses without extra cost. License servers are available for Microsoft Windows (all 32-bit plattforms) and Linux (32-bit).
